By using Tarbiya you agree to the terms below. They are written in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, write to us and we will explain.
What this service is
Tarbiya is an app for organising family life: chores, shopping, the calendar, savings, rewards for children and religious content. The service is provided as is, and the set of sections may change.
Account and family
An account is created by an adult. That adult is responsible for the children's profiles they create: for their contents, for the logins issued to them, and for consent to the processing of their data. Do not share your credentials with anyone outside the family.
Children
Child profiles are meant to be used under the supervision of a parent or guardian. The owner parent controls that access and can change or close it at any time.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service for unlawful purposes, do not try to reach another family's data, and do not load the service with automated requests. We may restrict access if that happens.
Religious content
Verses, hadith and duas are quoted from verified sources with a reference and, for hadith, an authenticity grading. This is reference material, not a religious ruling. The zakat calculation is an estimate — check it with a knowledgeable person.
Financial features
Budgets, wallets, savings goals and stars are bookkeeping inside the app. We do not hold or transfer real money and we do not provide financial services.
Subscription
The service is currently available in early access, free of charge, with no payment in the app. When a subscription appears, its name, length, full price and renewal terms will be shown before you confirm the purchase.
Your data is yours
The content you enter remains yours. We process it only to run the service — as described in the privacy policy.
Liability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the service running and your data safe, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation and are not liable for indirect losses. Keep anything critical somewhere else as well.
Ending it
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may close access if these terms are broken, giving notice where that is possible.
Changes to these terms
We will announce changes in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new version.
For the App Store version
If you installed the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement additionally applies to your use of it.
